A Royal Recognition: OMF wins the King's Award!

We're delighted to announce that the Olympias Music Foundation (OMF) has been honoured with the prestigious King’s Award for Voluntary Service. This accolade, equivalent to an MBE, recognises the exceptional service of voluntary groups in the UK and is a testament to the hard work of our volunteers.

OMF is unique in Manchester, offering free, continuous music education to young people from low-income backgrounds. Our volunteers' dedication is unwavering, with students, professionals, and community members of all ages contributing their skills and time.

Special thanks to our volunteers like Verity Williams, who helped with our #ChildrensVoices choir, and Greta, who provided piano lessons to budding musicians. Helen Krizos, a Senior Tutor at RNCM and an OMF trustee, along with Victor Lim, have both significantly contributed to our cause.

Our Board of Trustees and student volunteers from RNCM deserve recognition for their impactful work. Through events and individual contributions, they've helped us reach our goals, including the #MusicAndMountains trip and our communal potlucks that bring our community closer.

While we can't name all 78+ volunteers, this award is for each one of you. Your commitment to helping OMF’s young musicians is invaluable, and we thank you for your continued support.
