We’re raising funds for 25 more children on free school meals
in Manchester to join us in 2025.

Play It Forward aims to raise at least £13,000 to fund weekly one-to-one instrumental lessons for children on free school meals in Manchester for the rest of the year.

 

But if we reach £21,500, we can also fund all their instruments, repairs, books/exams, as well as all other cultural and musical activity they enjoy through Olympias, including choirs, special events and termly concerts.​

You can donate, share our social media messages, get your business involved, or if you’re a musician get involved with our social busking online.​

Please donate or get involved today to ensure that the gift and joy that music brings really is for all children in Manchester!​

  • £22 could fund a child’s lesson

  • £100 could fund one child's instrument repairs, books and exams for the year

  • £660 could fund a child’s lessons for a whole year (that's 30 weeks of joy!)

Are you a musician or performer?

Join our social buskers and make some noise online for #OlympiasPlayItForward.

Do you play an instrument or perform? Do you think all children in Manchester should have the opportunity to learn and own an instrument, regardless of their background?

The idea is simple. Share a short performance online with a link to donate, then you can nominate another musician to do the same.

Here’s how you can help!

  • Make a company donation to Play It Forward

  • Host a fundraiser in your business or office, such as a cake sale, sponsored event, or gig

  • Can you include a percentage donation from sales from a particular item? 

  • Ask your customers to add a donation to their purchase

  • Raise awareness by spreading the word on socials or displaying posters
